Hey, there!
The books have arrived with the fulfillment company and the bagging, boarding, boxing, and shipping have begun! The April delivery projection looks good at this point. I'll keep you posted as I get more information on that.
With that said, I wanted to give a few shout-outs to some projects that I think you might like to know about.
Blackrabbit #3 by Scorpiana artist CB Zane is in its final five days:
Not only can you get the comic featuring some awesome variant covers, but if you missed the opportunity to get the metal card set and/or Outpost 426 back issues to round out your collections, now's your chance! Hit that link and treat yourself!

Next, if you're a fan of art books, you're in luck. The Sketchbook Trio has launched:
It offers three tomes featuring illustrations from such luminaries as Fred Benes, Leandro Oliveira, and Narcelio Sousa! Check it out here!

Laguna Studios has launched Death's Kiss:
From the project description: "Where death meets desire, their impossible love story begins… An NSFW comic with sex, love, and a tragic destiny. Death’s Kiss will make you swoon, sigh, and cry out with pleasure. This robust and beautiful story penned by a New York Times and multiple USA Today bestselling author working under a pseudonym has been brought to life scene-by-scene in this special edition with gorgeous drawings from a top artist."

Finally, Shawn Hudachko and Black Ops Publishing have brought back a '90s bad girl classic, none other than Double Impact:
From the project description: "Welcome to the adrenaline-fueled world of Double Impact! In this long-awaited return, Jazz and China are back with a vengeance (and a new hairdo for Jazz). From the neon-lit streets to the darkest alleys, follow their relentless hail of bullets and razor-sharp wit from one pile of dead henchmen to another. The 90s nostalgia is real, but the action is timeless. Get ready for a wild ride as these lethal ladies show that they haven't missed a beat--or shot--in 30 years!"
As befits such a project, it has a tremendous variety of variant covers and some really cool collector's boxes. Give it a look here:

Printing update! And more goodness from the Outpost!

Hey, everyone!
The printer is busily setting up the job to get Scarlet Steel into production. This is no easy feat as I went a little apeshit with the number of cover offerings and options. I'm hoping he'll have most of his hair left when it's all said and done.😉This keeps us on track to get the books out in time for you to receive them in April. If there will be any delay, I'll be sure to let you know. The project's complexity made establishing item counts a little trickier than usual, but rest assured that I stand ready to either print more copies if I came up short or issue appropriate refunds. Trust and goodwill mean everything to me, so I'll do everything I can to make things right.👍
I also wanted to alert you to the next offering from Outpost 426, the third issue featuring the bad bunny herself, C.B. Zane's Blackrabbit! Here's what the man himself says about the project:
BLACKRABBIT 3 launches March 5th!
Issue 3 sees Blackrabbit conning porn industry mogul Adrian Macanroy by attempting to steal an incriminating script meant for his favorite employee, the voluptuous porn star Amberlyn Rose -- the woman he is obsessed with!
More hot action featuring your favorite thief, Jeska Lovemore aka the Blackrabbit!
This comic always delivers the goods, so follow the link to get notified when it launches!

That's all for now. Stay tuned for more updates! Have a great weekend!
Take care,
Mike
PS A buddy of mine is running a two-for-one comics campaign on a new site called fundmycomic.com, and he could use a little juice as it enters its last two weeks:
Le description: "Classic Space Opera in BEYOND THE STARS and grown-up Winnie the Pooh inspired BEAH!" Silverline always produces great comics, so if you like what you see, click the link and show 'em some love!

Oh, and if you sign up for their newsletter (there's a link on the top right side of the campaign), I'm told they might just send you a free digital comic. What are you waiting for? Go get it!!!
Printing Update

Hey, everyone!
I just wanted to send another update regarding a couple of project-related matters. First, you should have received your digital rewards by now. If you haven't, be sure to check your spam folders for messages from Backerkit as those contain your link to them. Let me know if you can't find it or need help getting your stuff so I can be sure you do.
Second, I have reached out to the printer with projected item counts, so once everything's confirmed, we'll be in the production phase. Be sure that your addresses are correct before I lock those down. You don't want your precious cargo winding up in the wrong hands!
Before I close, let me clue you into a couple of campaigns you might enjoy. The first is from a friend of Outpost 426, Luis Torres of Codex Entertainment. It's the final issue of his highly entertaining series VR XOXO, which brings the story to an exciting and satisfying conclusion.

The next project is Gemini Force from comic/manga/pin-up artist Terry Parr that looks like a lot of fun:
http://kck.st/4bKF1dv
It's "the graphic story of Rock 'N' Roll girls running wild in outer space! A feature-length Sci-Fi comic! It's Bitchin' Science Fiction!" That sounds right up my alley, and it might be up yours as well. Click the picture or the link to check it out!
That's all for now. More to come soon!
Take care,
Mike

Hey, folks--
I just wanted to let you know that the book is finally finished, and I'm about to start distributing the digital files. Pretty much everyone should be getting the digital comic, and I'm also sending out the bundles and Digital Max packages as well. Make sure you can receive messages from Backerkit, and if you don't get your notice soon, check those spam folders. Of course, if you have any problems or didn't get what you ordered, let me know and I'll look into it right away.
We're now also positioned to start getting files to the printer for production. I believe we're still on schedule, but I will be sure to inform you if there are any delays. I will keep you updated as things move along.👍
Take care,
Mike
Latest news on Scarlet Steel

Hello there.
It's a new year, and I wanted to update you on the project's status. First, my deepest thanks to everyone for extending well wishes regarding my mother's passing. On top of being crushed by it, I've also been working with my sister on settling the affairs of the estate. We shared a townhouse, and getting it cleared out and ready for sale is a major process. In short, I never realized all the stuff we both had. On top of that, eight ginger cats arrived in our backyard some years back, and while we managed to get them all fixed, they are at best indoor-outdoor kitties (the momma cat is still sorta feral in that you can't touch her), so we have to find a way to help them out before we can think about listing the place. Then there's the matter of contacting various agencies about her passing, which will require sending out copies of the death certificate which have yet to arrive. It's a mess, but we're forging ahead. I know many of you have gone through this very thing and know exactly what it's like. If you haven't, be thankful. When it comes to your loved ones, don't take a moment for granted.
Despite all of this, the project appears to be on schedule. The line artist has turned in his final pages, and the colorist has five pages to go and is working away on them. The letterer is fast and will have his part done in short order. I'm shooting for around the 20th to get the digital editions of the books out. If it will be sooner -- or later -- I'll be sure to let you know. Then the digital files will be sent to the printer once they're ready. I've already contacted the service and gotten an initial quote from them. I believe he said that the turnaround from invoice to completion should be 3-4 weeks, at which point it all gets printed and sent to my fulfillment service for shipping. We appear to be on schedule based on the estimates I gave on Kickstarter, but as always, I will keep you updated as we go. I'll never forget the monstrous delays we had getting Scorpiana out during COVID, so I don't take anything for granted.
On a side note, I ordered the metal items (bookmarks and trading cards) a while back, and they look great. The fulfillment service has received them and they are ready for inclusion once we get to that stage. I have a few myself, and when I get a moment I'll take some pictures to whet your appetites. My hat is off to the fine folks at Faeriemetal who did great work on those. If you ever need metal cards, prints, or anything else of that kind, hit them up. Their work is terrific and their prices are great.

(You might also recognize them as the people behind the superheroine comic Eule's Vision.)
That's the latest. More information is coming soon. Take care, and I hope everyone has a great new year.
